Recently, Guilder was introduced to THARS providing important mental health services in Burundi. Some familiar with the Burundi might know that the region was the subject of terrible ethnically targeted violence in 1993. THARS is working to provide services to the people of Burundi who have lived through and experienced trauma.

Coffee "C Market" Price - $1.87
Coffee is a globally traded commodity. As such, there is a market for trading coffee futures. This market price fluctuates based on many factors, but especially supply and demand. While, we do not buy many coffees based on the C Market, it does impact how coffee we purchase is priced.
Guilder's Price - $5.00
This is the final price we pay for this coffee. This includes any premiums we might pay to the producer to make sure they are receiving a sustainable margin. It also includes all of the logistics of moving the coffee from its place of origin to our roastery in the Alameda neighborhood of Portland, OR, USA.
